NDT/Evaluation Training:

Our commitment to effectively training our NDE Technicians plays a major role in the reliability of the inspections. The HRV NDE certification of personnel program is in accordance with Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A. Our internal NDE training program is drawn for the bodies of knowledge as outlined in ANSI/ASNT CP-105.

What we believe is the key to our NDE program:

  • Practical training:
    The inspection work performed by the NDE technician is by far mostly of the practical nature. It is therefore our focus that emphasis be placed on the practical application of the test method during training.
  • Classroom training:
    Classroom training hours as recommended by SNT-TC-1A states the minimum training hours for each recognized testing method as industry standard. HRV believes meeting the minimum requirements is essential. However, the hours actually needed vary based on the complexity of the subject matter and the testing technology being utilized.
  • Knowledge of Codes and Standards.
    HRV qualified NDE technicians through training and examination demonstrate the in-depth knowledge of the applicable codes and standards.

Our NDE role in the fabrication process:

  • Review fabricators NDE qualifications.
  • Review fabricators NDE procedures.
  • Monitor and witness the actual NDE testing process and results.
  • Review NDE test reports for accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate NDE testing results with the owner and consistent bases.
