Every year during Labor Day Weekend, Caring and Sharing organizes a Riverboat Cruise as “therapeutic recreation” for local veterans. The veterans are treated with entertainment, prizes, contests, dancing, gifts, a hot buffet lunch, and a memorial ceremony on the river. This year’s event is anticipated to include nearly 1,000 participants.
This year, HRV employees sponsored 25 veterans for the event making it the largest contribution in the company’s history. As an active participant in military support organizations, HRV values the service of veterans and men and women currently serving our country.
Sharing and Caring is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of hospitalized veterans.
