MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa., April 25, 2023 — HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. (HRV) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) are pleased to announce that HRV Technical Operations Manager Kevin J. Chatary, CCM, has been selected to participate in the 2023-2024 class of the SAME Leader Development Program (LDP). A total of 20 individuals from across SAME’s membership were chosen for this prestigious professional development program.
Developed with support from the SAME Foundation, LDP identifies and cultivates talent from within SAME’s membership to address the nation’s grand challenges. The program supports the development of the next generation of world-class military, government, and industry leaders for the Society and our nation through a curriculum of hands-on training, study, and active engagement in new opportunities.
Kevin’s broad technical background encompasses 15 years of engineering, construction inspection, and construction project management experience including nearly 12 years with PennDOT as a Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI), Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS), Transportation Construction Manager, and as an Assistant Highway Maintenance Manager. He maintains numerous professional licenses and registrations spanning concrete, construction management/inspection, coatings, pavement, and other technical and materials related specialties. An active participant in industry trade associations, Kevin is a member and serves on several committees for organizations such as ACEC/PA, ASHE, CMAA, NACE, PCI, and SAME.
“Over the past several years of membership, I’ve come to deeply admire SAME’s commitment to continuous learning,” said Chatary. “Being selected for the SAME LDP is both exciting and challenging; I know I’ll be learning leadership skills and techniques from some of the best, but also challenged to practically apply what I learn. I’m looking forward to furthering my leadership journey and contributing to the program based on my previous experiences.”

SAME LDP participants will explore individual strengths, team dynamics, and discover their potential personally and professionally. LDP is a yearlong commitment beginning at the Joint Engineer Training Conference (JETC) 2023 to be held in San Antonio, Texas, May 2-4.
