Robert Morris University Rochelle HRV(RMU) in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, has selected HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. President H. Rochelle Stachel, a distinguished RMU graduate (’91), as a member of its Board of Trustees.  Comprised of actively engaged community and business leaders, RMU’s Board of Trustees includes numerous prominent RMU alumni who voluntarily serve three-year terms.  The Board oversees RMU’s affairs and governs its strategic direction with the goal of furthering the mission and core values of the University.

Harshman, chairman of the Board of Trustees.”  Her extensive business background, success as an entrepreneur, and record of community service strongly supports the Board’s vision for Robert Morris University as an institution that provides transformative experiences for our students.”

“As a Robert Morris University graduate, I am sincerely honored to have been selected to serve on this prestigious board,” said, Rochelle.  “I’ve always had a great appreciation for how my time at the University helped prepare me to pursue both career and entrepreneurial opportunities—I look forward to creating new friendships, and to working with the other members toward achievement of RMU’s goals.”

Rochelle’s passion for and contributions to the regional community have established her reputation as a serving leader.  She is an active member of the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce (PAACC), which recently honored Rochelle with the 2019 Distinguished Service Award for her longstanding commitment to PAACC, her strong support of the economic development of regional Pittsburgh Airport community, and her sincere efforts to assist the region’s military community.  She serves as PAACC Executive Committee/Military Liaison, co-chair for the Military Relations Committee, and is a member of the Honorary Commanders.  As Chair of Southwestern PA ESGR (Employer Support for the Guard and Reserves), she promotes veterans employment, provides mediation, and helps to educate employers on the laws and regulations of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994.  She is also a member of the Military Affairs Council of Western Pennsylvania, which initiated the “Save the 911th” effort to prevent the shutdown of the 911th Airlift Wing near the Pittsburgh International Airport.
